Wings
Try it: click Safari on the bar to hide it, again to bring it back, or open Downloads.
Everything in its place,
nothing in your way
DockWing splits the bar into six parts, so you always know where to look. Point at a part below to find it on the bar.
Finder and the apps you keep in the Dock, in two neat rows. Pin or reorder on either side and the other follows.
Every app with a window, shown, hidden or minimized. Click to hide the app in front and its windows fly into the icon. Click again and they fly back.
Apps running with no window at all stay out of the way at the side, badges and all. A click opens a new window.
Drop files and folders here. Folders open as stacks, and up to four items share a small 2×2 box to save room.
Drop an icon on it to unpin it, or a file to throw it away. Right-click to empty it.
Widgets, clipboard history, screenshots, Dev Helper, Keep Awake and Settings, packed into one small box at the end.
A Dock that knows
how you really work
Many windows, many desktops, more than one display. DockWing keeps them all in one calm bar.
Every Space, at a glance
Apps on your other desktops and in full screen sit in their own glass rings, in Mission Control's order. One click takes you there.
Made for many displays
Each display gets its own group of icons. A click brings the app forward on the display you clicked from.
Drag apps between desktops
Drop an icon on a ring and its windows move to that desktop, or to another display at the same spot.
Window previews
Rest the pointer on an app to see each of its windows, then click the one you want.
Fast, and never in the way
Click again while an animation runs and it turns around halfway. Fast clicks never wait.
Badges and bounces
Unread counts show on the icons, and an app that needs you hops above the bar until you look.
Folder stacks
Open a folder as a grid or a list, sorted by date under Today, Yesterday and more. Downloads show a ring that fills as they go.
Full screen aware
In a full-screen app the bar slides away with the Dock, and follows your fingers during a three-finger swipe.
Safe with your Dock
The real Dock keeps running, tiny, under the bar. Choose Use macOS Dock or quit DockWing, and your Dock settings come back.
Every desktop.
Every display.
The Dock shows one big pile of apps. DockWing shows where each window really is.
- Apps on your first desktop come first, then a glass ring for each other desktop and each full-screen app.
- With more than one display, each gets its own group, left to right as your displays are arranged.
- The dot under an icon turns blue on the display your pointer is on, so you know where a click will go.
Move apps between
desktops by dragging
Drag an icon onto a ring and its windows go to that desktop. Drag it onto another display's group and they land there, at the same spot on the screen.
Drag past the last desktop and your empty desktops show up too, ready to take it. Drop files on an app to open them in it, and anything you let go of flies back home.
Bar or island.
Clear or frosted.
Span the whole screen like a taskbar, or float a glass island only as wide as its icons. Set the height, the blur and how round it is. Every change shows at once.
Liquid Glass and the island need macOS 26 or later. On macOS 15, the bar uses the system's frosted material.
Handy tools,
right on the bar
A small box at the end of the bar holds the things you reach for all day. Turn off the ones you do not need.
Everything you copied, ready to paste again
Text, pictures and files you copy show as cards, newest first, with the app they came from. One click pastes a card into the app in front.
- Keeps your last 200 copies
- Skips passwords and other private copies
- Copy the same thing again and it moves to the top

Any Mac with macOS 15 or later, Apple silicon or Intel. Liquid Glass and the island style need macOS 26 or later; on macOS 15 the bar uses the system's frosted material.
macOS has no public way for an app to keep part of the screen free, so the real Dock keeps running, small, under the bar. That way windows still stop above it, and there is still a Dock if DockWing ever stops. Before changing any Dock setting, DockWing saves your Dock's settings and puts them back when you choose Use macOS Dock or quit.
Accessibility lets DockWing list, hide and show other apps' windows and read badges from the Dock. Screen Recording is for window previews and the hide animation. The pictures stay on your Mac.
Yes. Each display gets its own group of icons, and apps on your other desktops and in full screen sit in their own rings. You can drag an app onto a ring to move its windows to that desktop.
DockWing checks for a new version once a day and lets you know with a notification. You can also check any time under About in Settings.
Choose Use macOS Dock in DockWing, or quit it. Your Dock comes back with the size, position and settings it had before. To remove DockWing, move it from Applications to the Trash.
